How do you grow out short, nappy, and medium course hair, without having surgery or laser treatments?

I heard that if you massage you head alot it will make the hair grow faster. Eating lots of vegetables and healthy foods will also work. Exercise and at least 8 hours of sleep. All of those things will work to help your hair grow out faster.

Just let it grow naturally! You dont need surgery or laser treament to grow hair!

Get your ends trimmed every 4 weeks, and for the coarse hair, have your stylist thin it when she/he cuts it.

Hair grows in a healthy scalp. Clean it at least once a week. It is not necessary to pack our hair down with a LOT of oil, just enough to oil the scalp. Keep it from drying out. Aphrogee has a great reconstructure. It will keep your hair strong. DooGro has an oil treatment that would be great to use. Also, trim your ends every 6-8 weeks.

I do believe you're fighting genetics here, and there's not a heck of a lot you can do for that. Each of us has a length our hair will grow to before it slows and once it gets to the genetically determined length, it falls out and begins the cycle all over again.

There are things you can do to make the hair not so nappy, and even some things to make your hair not feel quite to course (i.e. relaxer - I recommend Silk Essentials sold by Sally - best stuff ever and really does make your hair super soft to the point it blows in the wind), but as far as the length, you'll be hard pressed to find something that is going to up mother nature.

Good luck!

Just take care or your hair and scalp properly. Keep your hair and scalp moisturized. Don't wash too often, but keep the scalp clean. You'll take the natural oils in your skin away from your hair if you wash too much. I'd say wash it every one and a half or two weeks. Find hair products that stimulate the scalp. I know this because my hair was once short, nappy and coarse.
