Does tightly curled hair look nappy?

On some days, I have tightly curled hair liks some black people. It tends to puff out and look frizzy. It won't lay flat like the ahir of hispanic people. I was just wonder when you see a tightly curled hairstyle, does it look ok?

If you are using the right hair products and drying your hair properly it should always look ok. But I feel for you, I have curly hair as well.

-Get a shampoo that is meant for anti-frizz or a shampoo that hydrates your hair. Never buy the 2-in-1 shampoos or shampoos for oily hair.

-Condition your hair...leave the conditioner on for at least 2-3 -minutes.

-Towel dry your hair so that it is still damp, but not soaked.

-Apply leave-in condition to your hair...don't drench it, but apply a decent amount.

-Let that set for a moment or two...

-Apply mousse throughout your hair, pay special attention to your ends and the top of your hair where it tends to be more frizzy.

-With a defuser and with the hair dryer on low, blow dry your hair, but scrunch your hair in the process...it helps set the curls better.

I have curly hair but not real tight curls. I think that it's beautiful. You should be proud. At least you won't ever have to worry about getting a perm when perms start to be out again! Be happy for what you got. At least your not bald!

I don't know it depends on how you look with it.

I don't like frizzy hair, since mine was until I found out my hair was naturally curly.

To make it less frizzy, I suggest staying inside while it dries, and don't get it near heat.

Nappy, is tightly curled hair, at least that's what I think. Nappy doesn't have to be a bad thing. I stopped getting my hair chemically straightened, permed, a year ago. I admire people that wear their natural hair texture.

As long as you keep your hair well conditioned it won't look nappy.
