Im black, and my hair feel like a brillo pad (real coarse) i guess from all the perming and dyeing also? what?

Im sorry about your hair....I say stay away from the chemicals for a while. Trying keping your hair moisturized by using coconut oil ( trust me it works) and/or breaktrhough daily moisturizer. If you can, get a good weave to keep the stress off of yout hair and to give it time to heal and grow. If not a good weave get braids...anything that will keep you from having to put heat or stress on your hair. Try to get your ends trimed every 1 to 3 months. Also never color and perm so close to each other and i know you may thin youneed super but a mild perm is all you need to get your hair straight..you just have to blow dry it well with a round brush and a good blow dryer....but like i said stay aways from all of those things for a while...until your hair has regained some life...Hope this helps...

I think it might be damaged from all the chemicals. A good hair cut will help. Try to cut off the damaged hair. If you can, try getting braids and letting your hair grow out. Also regular hot oil treatments will help. And conditioning in between that. Also talk to a professional about using a different kind of relaxer. Sound like what you have been using isn't the right one. And if you can, nix the hair color!

Try Biosilk Silk Therapy. Use it sparingly a nickel sized drop is more than enough for shoulder length hair after towel drying hair. Blow dry/straighten/comb. Helps a lot with any dry hair.

use a deep conditioner (one that says moisturizer) every time you wash. Don't blow dry ur hair but wash and set it.

Wrap it at nite...Use a light cream hairdress. Nothing heavy like grease! Don't forget to trim ur ends! then you should be good to go!

And please don't compare ur hair to a brillo pad, it can't be that bad. I have never seen a black person with hair like a brillo pad and I am from the melting pot city (nyc). If it is then maybe it's because you don' t comb it and you allow ur hair to get that way!

Maybe you don;t know how to comb or treat your hair.

If not don't be cheap go to the salon!

Hey. Sorry about your hair. It sounds real bad from the way you're describing it. Has your hair always been so coarse? Honestly I think you should consult a beautician.

but in the meantime all i can do is offer my opinion. Wait longer in between perms if your hair can stand it.

Tips for at home:

1. Wash %26amp; condition it. Keep it wrapped up at night. After you perm it wrap it with wrap lotion %26amp; let it dry. Then when it is completely dry use the bevelling iron to straighten it. Use styling mousse, braid spray, or oil sheen before straightening it to for heat protection.

2. Make sure you keep your hair wrapped up at night. I use a satin sleep bonnet.

Since I washed it:

3. Use DAX Dry Hair %26amp; Scalp conditioner. And I have dandruff so I applied Sulfur 8 Lite (doesn't smell as loud). I only had to apply the Sulfur 8 once. I've been putting the DAX on around the edges every day or two as needed. I put Anti-Itch Hairdresser around the edges when it got itchy. But I've only had to put it on a time or two.

you should use a moisturizing conditioner for example queen helene or there is this mayonaise conditioner it is in a green jar I can't remember the name it is really good and it does not smell like mayo. but the best thing to do is go to the salon when you need chemical services. this will help your hair a lot.

Maybe you should go to the hair salon. They can help treat damaged hair. You must go regularly like every two weeks.
